About

West View Care Home

Person centered residential care

Since our inception, we have been providing a home that is a place people enjoy.
West View, established as a family run home in 1977, has always provided person centered care because we understand and respect the uniqueness of every individual. We give our residents the flexibility and assistance to be able to ‘live how they want to live’ and offer a wide variety of accommodation and service options. By entering into a partnership with our residents’ relatives, we take on the daily care of loved ones and grant them that much-needed quality time together in a tranquil and supportive environment.

Our home & Gardens

We invest a lot of time in ensuring West View is a safe and enjoyable place to call home. From individually styled communal areas, including a 1960’s music room, to our picturesque gardens; we continually care for and improve each part of our special home. There is level access throughout the property and gardens, with a unique glass walled lift to help residents access the upper floor.

We aim to meet the needs of our residents by having open access to the community and are well suited to individuals who would like to enjoy activities inside and outside of the care home. Keeping in touch with loved ones is of the upmost importance and so we have installed wifi throughout the home, interactive TVs with Netflix & Youtube and computer access points.

Food & drink

When it comes to mealtime, we know that there is nothing more important than fresh; quality food. We source the majority of our produce from local suppliers around Devon and Cornwall, including a local butchers for our meat. Residents can enjoy breakfast, a main cooked lunch and a relaxed evening meal in one of our communal areas or in the comfort of their own room.

We are proud of the variety of cooked meals we provide with vegetarian, vegan and specialised / medical diets all catered to. Everything we cook is made on site, including daily homemade soups. Soft drinks and sherry at lunch are also included!
